Frequently Asked Questions

Does UV Timer have an Apple Watch app?

Yes, UV Timer includes a Watch app and complications. Install it via the iPhone Watch app. The Watch shows your current UV reading, lets you start/stop the reapply timer, and surfaces severe weather alerts with a tap-through to the full alert on your iPhone.

Are there Home Screen or Lock Screen widgets?

Certainly, UV Timer offers a small Home Screen widget showing your current UV index, plus Lock Screen widgets in circular, rectangular, and inline formats. To add one, long-press your Home Screen or Lock Screen, tap the + button, search for “UV Timer”, and pick the size you want.

Why does the app ask for location permission?

UV Timer uses your location to fetch real-time UV index and weather data for your exact spot. Location data is sent only to the weather service to retrieve UV data and is never tied to your identity.

Notifications aren’t appearing

Make sure UV Timer has permission to send notifications: Settings → Notifications → UV Timer → Allow Notifications.

How do I add more saved locations?

You can purchase additional location slots from the locations screen in the app. Three packs are available: 1 location, 5 locations, and 10 locations.
